Annotation |
In November 1934 twenty-year-old Everett Ruess left Escalante, Utah, camped in Davis Gulch, and disappeared. His pack animals were found, but no trace of his body or his gear has ever been found. Ruess, an artist, writer, and adventurer, began his passionate search for beauty and freedom when he was eighteen. This book is a collection of his letters and poetry, and a report of the many attempts to find him.
