As a teenager, Hannah Szenes leaves the stifling anti-Semitism of Hungary in 1939 for a new life in Palestine. In 1943, she parachutes back into Nazi-occupied Yugoslavia to save the lives of Jews. Captured and tortured, she defies the Nazis. For grades 5-7 and older readers.
