Annotation |
For years, the Supreme Court has treated the First Amendment like a laundry list of isolated words. Stopping every once in awhile to pull a couple words out, claiming to be able to use the isolated word to assert what is really meant. Burt Neuborne, one of the nation's foremost constitutional lawyers, argues that the Supreme Court has gotten the First Amendment all wrong. If Judges would only look at the full text, all 45 words, they would discover a First Amendment that is a democracy's best friend. Unrated.
